The International Fertiliser Society (IFS) is a long-established membership organisation providing quality information and knowledge exchange on all topics relating to plant nutrients.
IFS brings together members from academia, fertiliser manufacture & development, agronomy and all professions concerned with responsible plant nutrition.
The International Fertiliser Society was founded in 1947 as a learned society for individuals who have a professional interest in any aspect of fertiliser production, handling and usage, expanding rapidly to cover all aspects of plant nutrition, most particularly efficiency of use, environment and sustainability. It provides a forum for the dissemination and discussion of technical information relating to these areas.
Membership is personal and open to all.
More about IFSThe Brian Chambers award for early career scientists in plant nutrition was launched in 2015, organised and funded by the IFS. This annual poster competition offers a cash prize of £1,000 for the winner, plus £500 each for two runners-up, with finalists offered the opportunity to present their poster at our agronomic conference.
