On Thursday 18th December 2025, we received the sad news that one of our Council members, Dr Patricia Imas, has died following a short period of illness. Patricia joined IFS Council in 2024, and was characteristically pro-active, alongside being generous and thoughtful in her actions, as well as humorous. Reading the many tributes to her online, these were attributes not just afforded to IFS, but all she knew and worked with.
Originally from Argentina, Patricia studied for a PhD in Israel, and made her home and life there, working for ICL. Her work was international, and again, her desire and ability to communicate with all is apparent in the tributes offered from far and wide.
She will be much missed, and our heartfelt thoughts are with family, friends, and colleagues who join us in mourning her loss.
